New era : The joy of rain
I miss my livejournal days. I find social media too fast; I need something slow and less judgemental. So, I revamped this blog and archived all my old posts for my new beginning, a new era. It has been almost two years since I moved from Rainchester to Rain District. Complaining about the rain is an understatement; now, I embrace it, especially after having a 2-year-old who loves the puddle and who doesn’t know that logistics can be so annoying with rain. My daughter loves the outdoors and loves being wet. There’s no way I will rub the negativity of the rain to her.
I will share my thoughts, adventures and experiences I’ve encountered living in the Lake District, rain or shine. These are all significant changes for me, especially coming from the concrete jungle world. I will share how I navigate life with my two-year-old in this foreign but familiar place in the countryside. People say we must have loved the rain so much to be moving more to the north. We do :)
Hence, the joy of rain.
Here is a photo of my almost-two-year-old lying in a hammock and also enjoying her mud kitchen not giving two cents about the summer rain at her forest school.
