Five good things #2
Remembering July
My Ibiza birthday trip coincided with a two-night girl’s trip. I stayed with my friend at an all-inclusive hotel on the other side of the Island. I had such a lovely time just mooching around, existing, with no responsibility with my girlfriend. It was a well-needed time. After that fantastic time with my friend, I know I can be a well-rested mother for A.
Wholesome family time in Ibiza. I joined Henry and Atlas on the other side of the Island. We stayed at a luxurious hotel called Ibiza Gran, and because of the setting, I didn’t feel like I wanted to be anywhere else other than just by the pool with my family. Atlas had such a lovely time there; she made friends with a Spanish girl called Pepa. Every day, both of them will look for each other at breakfast. It was so sweet.
Being. Just being. Every quiet moment given to me, be it on the walk, plane ride, or long car journey, usually happens when Atlas is napping. This is good practice for me to stay regulated and prepare myself for when she wakes up.
I was meeting dear friends in Latvia. Most of the time, I was on a digital detox. It was nice to be present with everyone and give your best and fullest.
Summer festival in Kuldiga. I’ve never been to a festival that is beautiful, curated with local delicacies, craft artisans, and child-friendly activities. The festival was held in a beautiful setting in an old town in Latvia, part of UNESCO Heritage. The architecture there was gorgeous, which made the festival more special.
Dualit. Handled Milk Frother. There is nothing like being pampered by friends when you stay at theirs. My friends all over the world are such excellent hosts. While we were at M’s, he made me a perfect flat white every morning! Of course, coffee plays an important part, but the one that put an icing on it is the frother he used. I had to buy the same one when I returned to the UK.
I started running regularly. Well, not as much as I thought it would be, but at least I started. I am training myself for a 10 km Adidas Terrex race in late Autumn. Since it is out of the bag, this will help me be accountable. haha
That’s all folk! I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I love writing this blog.
Love, A x
